Who can resist blue makeup?

I was sitting on the floor with the Wolf this morning putting on my makeup. Randy is gone all day, its raining and I probably won't see another soul. But I like to put a little make-up on everyday because it makes me feel better (to quote Cathy's mom, "Put some lipstick on. You'll feel better.").
(my favorite quote of all time)

In the package my friend Paige sent me, there was a compact full of blue and green eyeshadow. I picked up some brown eyeshadow and was about to do the usual, but then I looked outside and I thought, I'm stuck inside all day. I'm going for the blue.I felt 11 all over again. Now, don't get me wrong. I've used some of this blue and green, mixed with other colors. I *love* it. But today I went full 80's. I even found some bright pink lip-gloss.
I said, "Wolfgang, this is what your Mama looked like when she was 11......minus 24 years of aging......and plus a few zits.......and throw in a bad perm......
He didn't notice.
Then suddenly I remembered that I actually HAVE a picture from my Beast years. I scrounged it out and scanned it for your viewing pleasure. I think I was 12 in this picture....Behold the precision hairstyle. And the jammin' shirt and matching broach.....

Aww. But look how cute Hayely is!

The only "bad" part of this is that wretched shirt you're wearing as a 12 yr old. I think I like the blue. In fact, I recommend you shave your head, and eyebrows, and pencil them back in.

Sorry I can't be there today. Right now I am stealing away from an enthralling talk on the comparison between Old Greek "Bel and the Dragon" and the Theodotionic version.

The blue is definitely 80's, but you still pull it off. You look beautiful! Maybe just don't test it in public :)

That's some sweet eye shadow! You will always be my beautimus sister whom I look up to no matter what you've worn in the past... I think we all have those moments we look back on and cringe. I must say that I do look pretty cute in that picture though :P

Love You!

That eye shadow reminds me of the time i thought i looked so great with some new green eye shadow a friend gave me for Christmas. The cutest boy in school told me i looked like a bull frog, needless to say, i never wore it again and i'm still damaged from the comment today. haha

( I'm not so sure you need to follow your husband's counsel on this one )

love you, all three

Hey, the actresses on the original Star Trek series can't be all wrong. That green eyeshadow drove the red-shirts wild. Just ask Chekov.
